Penndel Business Association Needs Your Help
The Penndel Business Association is sponsoring a Tribute on June 2, 2012
to our returning servicemen and women who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, as
well as recognition of veterans of all wars. The Tribute is titled the
Main Event. Entertainment will be provided by a 21-piece orchestra
"The Monday Blues and Jazz Orchestra." They will be accompanied by
four vocalists. The orchestra will play the musical theme from each branch
of service. This extravaganza will end the night with a fireworks display
that will be second to none.
We are asking you the residents of Langhorne Manor to email the names and
contact numbers of only those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan to
Alan Cohen.
Mr. Alan Cohen, President of the Penndel Business Association will be
contacting the servicemen and women so that they can be honored on June 2,
2012. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mr. Cohen at

Support your Langhorne Pennwood
Library
The Pennwood Library has gone thorough many changes this last year and
it is most imperative that the community is aware of the impact these
changes will have on our community as a whole. Many of the children’s
programs have been cut due to the lack of morning hours. The number of books
throughout the library has been greatly reduced and has not been replaced
with current publications as quickly as promised. The library hours were
greatly reduced to a total of 29 hours/week. The library building is in
desperate need of general maintenance and outside grooming. The Bucks County
Library Board and the executive director have stated that the Pennwood
Library is the least used library in the Bucks County Library system. The
loss of funds from state and local government impacts the continued
operation of our local library. We did not qualify for science in the summer
program as we are not open 5 days/week and we do not have morning hours.
Your support is most needed at this time. Use the library on a regular basis
and check out books. Getting a library card is easy and free if you do not
have one already. Please make an effort to attend the library board meetings
which will demonstrate our commitment to supporting our Pennwood Library. A
library is the center of every community. It provides a safe and pleasant
learning environment for our children. A relaxing and comfortable meeting
place for our seniors.
Library hours: Monday & Tuesday 1pm-9pm, Wednesday & Thursday 10am-6pm, closed Friday, Saturday
10am-4pm
